You may have seen the cards that have the eclipse technique, or maybe not. I am not sure where it came from initially, but the time has come to give it a go.
First I stamped my image (beautiful you) and then coloured it in. Next, using the alphabet dies, I die cut 'birthday' over the stamped image and trimmed this down to the size I wanted. (This is where I discovered I lost my dot for my "i").
For the next step, for the card, I trimmed down a piece of coffee break dsp and stuck this to my card front. Taking the die cut piece - being careful not to lose any of the die cuts - I put a piece of black cardstock behind the spaces. Then I stuck this onto the card front.
The next bit is a bit fiddly, but worth it. Taking the die cut letters, I put some foam pads on and then replaced them in their respective spaces.
I hope you feel inspired to give it a go. The effect is worth it.
Enjoy!
