Petal Passion quick cards

Hello dear reader

Today, for my being creative at least once a week, I wanted to get my stock pile of cards stocked up so I can just grab one, write and post.  I've chosen the petal passion designer papers for the cards and so as not make them expensive to post - don't you hate getting to the Post Office and finding your card is too fat for the standard letter rate - these are 'flat'!

I've simply taken a bunch of card blanks and trimmed down some of the paper just so there is a border.  I had a punched out daisy from the daisy punch and trimmed that down and the sentiment is taken from the happy birthday gorgeous stamp set, I also had a scrap of the gold foil sheet and added that onto the other card.  I hope you like them and can see what you can do with not a lot of supplies.

Simple but effective - Stampin' Up! project

I love the way that a few products can create something that is really effective, which brings a happy smile to the recipient, but which took no time at all to create.  This is one of the sets that do this (IMHO).  The water colour words stamp set, some washi tape and a couple of ink pads and hey presto!  You can even add a couple of simple embellishments to add some bling.

To create these cards, all you need are your card blanks.  Stamp some hearts using flirty flamingo, and stars using the lemon-lime twist (I don't usually 'do' green, but I do like this particular ink colour).

Stamp the 'hooray' stamp onto some lemon-lime twist cardstock and trim down to make a banner.  Grab some of the washi tape and simply pop some onto your card, anyway you like!  Pop the 'hooray' banner onto your card and add a star to finish it off.   For the hearts card, stamp the love sentiment on top of your stamped hearts, add some washi tape and if you desire, pop on a heart.  There you have it, quick, simple and WOW!  Not shown, but I'd be inclined to add some of the mini sequin trim, to add some extra sparkle!

As you can see, you can embellish your envelopes as well. Don't stop just at the cards.  Check out more projects over on my Stampin' Up! shop website.

Creative52 - week 4

Oh my, I am late! I am not entirely sure where my week has gone.   It must be that age thing of time passes quicker as you get older.

I have cleared and rejigged my crafting area, sorted out drawers, found stuff, stuff that I have had for many  years, put it on the pass it on pile, only to put in the nah, can't part with that just yet pile.  Please say that you are with me on this.  Today, still on the sorting path, I found one of those photo envelope folders, complete with some snaps and this is what has inspired me for Creative52.

Whilst rooting through my supplies, I must admit that I am a Graphic45 lover and this has come out to play this week to create  a page to go into my scrapbook album.

What  I love about this style is that you can do as much, or as little, as you want to create quick and easy scrapbook pages.

Have fun getting creative.

This is such a cute bundle.  You can create delightful boxes for treats, gift cards, or notes with the Sure Do Love You Stamp Set and the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies. Plus, save 10% when you buy both!

I have the stamp set and looking forward to getting the stamps out and giving them some ink, and you know, valentine is not just one day a year!  I think this is a great set for anniversaries and even weddings.  Aren't they great, they also come as wood mount.

To give you some ideas on projects using the dies and the bundled framelits, here is a video from the Home Office and check it out, we have an extra leaf to make cutting out the leaves quicker!

How cool is the box!  I know what is going on my next order!

Revisiting the Stampin' Up! holiday catalogue carryover

Whilst perusing the online catalogue, there are some products that have made it over to the carryover list.  I was on UK Scrappers and there is a little challenge and as I was in the process of making a card, I turned that into making 5 for the challenge.

I've used the hometown greetings edgelits for the card.  These are not just for Christmas as, although there is a tree and a snowman outline in the set, you can trim some or all of these bits off and create a non-Christmassy card.  The hearts come home stamp set has also been carried over and I have used a couple of the stamps from this set.  To add some sparkle, I have added a sprinkle of a wink of stella.
