Stampin’ Up! ~ stepping up card and using scraps

Hi everyone, hope you have had a lovely long weekend.  I’ve an extra day off work so won’t be back until Thursday which means, essay and crafting!

I’ve made a little card using up some scraps and where I had stamped some extras of the Hearts a Flutter set.  I also had some scraps left from the story time papers having made the mini books the other day so waste not want not!

Next up is my stepper card.  I had a little fiddle about with this (as in used up two pieces of scrap card) to get the measurements.  In the end I have made the card as follows:

1. Trim down a piece of cardstock (or paper that is sturdy) to 5.5″ x 8.5″

2. With the piece of cardstock portrait, draw a feint pencil line 2″ in.

3. With the cardstock in landscape on your scoreboard, score down to the pencil line as follows:

7/8″ – 2 1/8″ – 4.25″ – 5.5″ – 6 .75″ – 7 5/8″

and then, I used my trimmer for this bit, cut along the pencil line starting at the 7/8″ to the 6.75″ score line.  Rub out the pencil line.

4. Then you just need to fold your card so it looks like this:

So there you have your base and it is a case of decorate away to your heart’s content 🙂
