Have fun with the Stampin' Up! foiled papers

Stampin up foiled papers

As we come to the last few weeks of Sale-a-bration, the fun continues with the free items that you can find in the Sale-a-bration offerings. I love the way that you can mix and match, as you can see here, they can be used in various ways, with the eclectic expressions stamp set being 'mingled' with the springtime foil designer series paper. To make the papers even more eye-catching, add some ink colours that are in the paper to use with the stamp set. Get creative and play with the colours.

If you haven't found the silver gable gift boxes yet, you can find them in my online shop in the paper basics & packaging section.  The mini pizza boxes are really cute too!

There are about five weeks left of Sale-a-bration, so time is running out for you to get those free products. Remember to check the hostess code and use this when you place your order.

Lots of happy ~ colouring in

Just colouring in, it's great having everything in one box so you can settle down and colour and stick!

(Note that the sentiment is stamped using pear pizzazz not included in the kit)

This is also known as reading my law course book avoidance! Sometimes, the brain cells just want to relax.

Have fun getting creative.

Vellum and embossing folders

Hello dear reader.  In having a rummage through my cardstock, I found some vellum.  I don't use vellum that much but it always handy to have it to hand for when I need some.  Having now discovered it, I felt it was time to give it some use.  I've just had a little play and this is what I have come up with.  As well as embossing the vellum, I ran the card through at the same time.  I wasn't sure about a sentiment  and as I had the colour me happy stamp set to hand, I stamped the bird and then punched that out with the tailored tag punch.

Flirty Flowers - project bundle

I love the project ideas, these are great when you look at a product and wonder what to do with it.  The flirty flowers is one of those sets that I looked at and Stampin' Up! have given some project ideas on using it.  You can stamp and leave some of the designs as they are or grab the colouring pencils/pens.  You don't need a lot of supplies to create these super cards, and the treat box is super to add a little gift for someone, whether you fill them up with some sweet surprises, or even create a box for some jewellery.  You can find the stamps on page 25 of the 2017-2018 annual catalogue.

Colouring Crystals - Magical

Hello dear reader

Having had a bit of a stinking headache these past few days, my creativity took a downturn.  Although willing, the body was having none of it.  Today though, despite it being late (for me), I had the urge and beaten down the pounding head to get mucky!

I've had the Brusho out today, delightful crystals (don't sneeze, they will go everywhere).  The tip is to make holes in the tops, think of a salt/pepper shaker.

I spritzed an acrylic block and then simply shook some crystals on and let them merge.  Then placed some cardstock on top and let it 'do its thing'.  Once it was dry, which didn't take too long, I used the magical day stamps to finish off my card.  I stamp some stars and embossed them with white embossing powder (which involved spending a few minutes figuring out where I had put my heat gun!).

Mixing it up Stampin' Up! style

In perusing the online shop, getting some ideas for a commission for some boxed 'all purpose' cards, I came across the Pieces & Patterns Clear-Mount Stamp Set, I don't know why but this set seems to have alluded me for some time!

I know we have dinosaurs, which is part of my spec, but I was also asked for bears, not the teddy bear that we have but the one that was in the now retired bear hugs set.  Luckily, this set has a bear! I am so pleased about that as I parted with the retired set.  Although, I now have an excuse to go shopping.  I love all the little elements in this set, the little dinosaur through to the polaroid camera.

The funky coordinating papers are a must have to go with the stamps.  Get your snips out and cut out some of the images! (Sentiment from the Here for You stamp set).

While I wait for my delivery, see what you can do with the stamps and papers, whether making cards or scrapbooking.

Have fun getting creative.
