FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
People join Stampin’ Up! for various reasons and I often get asked about the company. I have therefore put together some Frequently Asked Questions which I hope will answer any queries you may have.
What discount do I get?
As a demonstrator, on product orders you place, you receive 20% discount off the net product total or 21% discount off if you are in the Netherlands. You can earn more commission the more sales you make in a month and any extra commission payments are calculated at the end of the month and paid direct in the bank account of your choice mid-way through the following month. You also get the chance to pre-order products a month earlier than the general release as well as very generous offers and discounts including hostess benefits on all eligible orders.
When you sign up as a demo, you receive the title of Bronze. Through your own purchases and/or as you build your business, you can advance to subsequent titles and if/when you reach the next title of Bronze Elite you will receive 25% discount on your future orders/sales.
What are the quarters and the minimum?
The quarters are Jan to March, April to June, July to September and October to December. The minimum is based on 300 CV (commissionable volume), for the UK this would be a quarterly sales volume of £270 (net £225). Note that 300 CSV is a common measurement and if you are not in the UK, the € figure will be different to that of the £ figure.
What happens if I join during a quarter?
Stampin’ Up! allows you a ‘grace’ period when you join within a calendar quarter. The quarter you sign up in is waived. Call it an easing in period! Say you joined in May, then you would have until September to meet your minimum – anything you had purchased yourself (or sold) since May, counts towards the minimum. Join in January and you have until the end of June in that year to meet the minimum.
What counts towards the quarterly minimum?
All of your purchases (and any sales you make) of commissionable value items count.
But what if I don’t meet the quarterly minimum?
You don’t have to send anything, or pay anything, back to Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Up! will give you an extra month for you to try and achieve the minimum. The ball is in your court as they say. If you don’t reach the minimum then you just become inactive and won’t be able to purchase or sell products via your demonstrator website. If you decide that you want to rejoin you can do so immediately (with the purchase of another starter kit) with the same upline you joined with initially. If you want a different upline, then you will have to wait a period of 90 days before you can rejoin.
What if I want to quit?
You simply stop selling, buying from yourself. It’s that easy
What is the discount/commission that I get?
The commission/discount is 20% and you get this straight away when you make your own purchase through your demonstrator website. For customers who order through your online Stampin’ Up! website, you will be paid the 20% commission direct into your bank account around the 10th of the month. You can earn up to 38% commission depending on your sales and title.
Do I have to demonstrate or recruit?
No. You can join me whether you want to buy for yourself or want to use Stampin’ Up! as a business opportunity. If you can reach the manageable quarterly minimums with your own purchases you can simply join and benefit from the discounts and deals. There is no pressure from Stampin’ Up!, or me as your upline but if you change your mind and want to start a class or two or sell to friends or customers you can.
You are in charge and you set your own goals and targets. Stampin’ Up! offers some great incentives to get you sharing and earning so there is lots of scope to earn, promote and be rewarded simply by sharing what you love and the fantastic products. But, as I say, it is up to you.
Are previous demonstrators allowed to rejoin?
– If you have been inactive more than 90 days you are free to rejoin under anyone you choose
– If your original sponsor is no longer active as a demonstrator there is no waiting period to rejoin under anyone you choose
What do I get from you?
You get me whenever you need me, there is no pressure, if you are happy to simply buy at a discount for yourself that is fine, if you want to move forward, I am here. If you think you can’t bother me with a question you think is silly, it is no bother, if you have a question ask it. I am here for support and encouragement for as long as you need it or want it.
