Cheers to the year – using scraps

Here is a quick card using the Cheers to the Year stamp set.

I’ve used a whisper white card blank and stamped the snowflake using smoky slate ink and then ‘tapped’ on some wink of stella for some sparkle.   From the scrap box, I used a piece of the merry music designer paper and rather than ink the edges, I used the wink of stella to give it the glittery effect.

I have then added some washi tape (year of cheer) and back to the scrap box to create a little banner that I have edged using a smoky slate stampin’ blend.

The ‘topper’ is stamped with versamark onto a scrap of tranquil tide cardstock and embossed using white embossing powder (after finally finding my heat gun).  I was going to use a stitched framelit to cut the circle but was lazy and so used the 1.75″ circle punch.  I got a bit carried away and added some ribbon and the silver metallic thread! The topper is popped on using some of the mini dimensionals.

Stampin up cheers to the year

I hope you like it, and raid your scrap box to get creative.
